All FOOD TIE lunch boxes come with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, we’ll repair it, replace it, or offer a full or partial refund — your satisfaction is our priority.

To make a warranty claim, you must:

Notify FOOD TIE in writing within the warranty period.

Provide proof of purchase.

Supply clear photo and/or video evidence of the fault. (For leaking issues, video evidence is required.)

In some cases, we may request the item be returned for an in-house assessment or ask for additional information to help identify the issue.

Please note:

Warranty is void if the product shows signs of misuse, incorrect cleaning, general wear and tear, or has not been cared for as recommended.

We are unable to replace items that have been lost, destroyed, or damaged beyond assessment.

Silicone is a fantastic material for lunchware because it is flexible, durable, and generally non-porous.

Silicone containers are dishwasher safe and you can use it in the dishwasher on a day to day basis.

However, it does have a tendency to "pick up" food smells or develop a sticky film if not cleaned correctly.

Here is the best way to keep your silicone lunchware in pristine, odor-free condition.

1. Deep Cleaning (Removing Odors & Film)

If your containers start to smell like "last Tuesday’s curry" or feel slightly tacky to the touch, you need a deeper clean to neutralize the silicone.

• The Vinegar Soak (Best for Odors): * Mix a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts hot water.

• Submerge the silicone items and let them soak for 30–60 minutes.

• Rinse thoroughly and let them air dry. The vinegar smell will disappear once dry, taking the trapped food odors with it.

• The Baking Soda Paste (Best for Sticky Residue): * If the silicone feels sticky or greasy, make a thick paste of baking soda and a little bit of water.

• Apply the paste to the sticky areas and let it sit for about 15 minutes.

• Gently rub it in, then rinse thoroughly. Baking soda is a mild abrasive that lifts off residue without damaging the surface.

2. The Dishwasher "Gotcha"

While most food-grade silicone is dishwasher safe and ours is too, there are two things to keep in mind:

• The "Soap Trap": If you use heavy-duty dishwasher detergents, they can leave a residue on silicone that attracts lint and dust. If you notice your silicone is "attracting" dirt after a cycle, try switching to a gentler detergent or ensuring you use a rinse aid.

• Avoid the Heating Element: If you have an older dishwasher with an exposed heating element, place your silicone on the top rack only. High, direct heat can potentially warp or degrade the integrity of the material over time.
